Executive Management Team
Howard Sinclair, Chief Executive
I joined Broadway in July 2002 as Chief Executive. Prior to Broadway I worked in a variety of social, housing and health positions in England and Wales, always working in services supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged people. I first started as a Nursing Assistant in a long stay psychiatric hospital in 1979 and have had about 15 different job titles since then!
I enjoy my work enormously – both in terms of the positive difference we genuinely try to make in people's lives and the creative, committed and engaged people I work with at Broadway.
Helen Giles MBE, Chartered FCIPD, Director of Human Resources
I have worked in the homelessness sector since 1986 when I started as an Administrator for Housing Services Agency. As HR Director for Broadway I see my job as making Broadway a fantastic place for people to work so that people's pride and satisfaction in their work for Broadway feeds through into the excellence of the services they provide to our clients. I am also the Director of Broadway’s Real People, a social enterprise offering HR consultancy and training support to other organisations.
David Fisher, Director of Services
Prior to the advent of Broadway, I was Director of Services for the Housing Services Agency, and have over 20 years experience of working with vulnerable people in both front line and management positions. At Broadway I was Head of Outreach and Community Services for five years until becoming Director of Services, responsible for Broadway's Housing and Support services in January 2007. I also sit on the Board of the Epic Trust.
Nick Lee, Director of Finance and Central Services
My early career was spent in the City with roles at Ernst and Young and then a commodity trading firm, before moving into the charity sector, initially working for a national children’s charity. I have since worked as Finance Director for a variety of organisations in the charity/care sector providing care for elderly people, learning disability services, and community nursing and therapy services.
Board of Trustees
Broadway is governed by a Board of Trustees. The Board's key functions are to set the charity's vision and strategy and to establish a framework to achieve this; monitor and report on Broadway's progress; and to support Broadway as a whole. The Board meets quarterly and meetings are complemented by three sub-committees: Services, Finance and People.
