Rent Services

Rent is an important part of your tenancy.

The sum payable as ‘rent’ is made up of rent and or service charges.

Your rent is due every Monday.

Your rent is used in the following ways:

  • To pay for repairs and maintenance
  • To manage your housing service
  • To repay money borrowed to build or modernise your home

Rent Increases

Rent will only be increased once a year and Broadway will give the resident at least one month's written notice of any intended increase and raise the rent to the appropriate level under the rent policy.

Service Charges

These charges are included in your rent. They cover the cost of services like lighting and cleaning of communal areas, door entry phones and keeping lifts in working order, repairs, replacements and helath and safety. Your tenancy agreement will tell you if you have to pay a service charge. The service charges for all properties will also be reviewed on an annual basis.
