Rent Services
Rent is an important part of your tenancy.
The sum payable as ‘rent’ is made up of rent and or service charges.
Your rent is due every Monday.
Your rent is used in the following ways:
- To pay for repairs and maintenance
- To manage your housing service
- To repay money borrowed to build or modernise your home
Rent Increases
Rent will only be increased once a year and Broadway will give the resident at least one month's written notice of any intended increase and raise the rent to the appropriate level under the rent policy.
Service Charges
These charges are included in your rent. They cover the cost of services like lighting and cleaning of communal areas, door entry phones and keeping lifts in working order, repairs, replacements and helath and safety. Your tenancy agreement will tell you if you have to pay a service charge. The service charges for all properties will also be reviewed on an annual basis. Rent Payment
Paying rent is one of the most important part of your tenancy with Broadway. The money collected from rents goes towards paying for some of the services that we provide for you. We rely on this income to maintain our services and carry out improvements to your homes.
Broadway want to make it as easy as possible for you to pay your rent and other charges. This means giving you a wide choice of different options to pay so you can choose the most convenient one for you. Rent Account Management
Rent Officers are responsible for the management of your rent account. Contact them if you have enquiries about:
- Making your rent payments

- Enquiries relating to rent account
Rent Statement
Every quarter (three months) we will send you a rent account statement. This shows the balance on your rent account and the payments you have made. You can also phone your Rent Officer, or visit any regional office to get an up-to-date statement.
