“I’ve chosen to raise money for the homeless as no one chooses the family they’re born into, and I was fortunate enough to be born into one that has been there for me through the thick and thin. As a kid there were plenty of times when I was going through rough patches in my life that many families would have quite happily thrown their kids out, or just given up on them and let them turn to the bad things in life, but mine stuck with me and enabled me to be where I am now.
Unfortunately, not everyone has had this luck/privilege and I would like to show my thanks to the powers that be by doing my bit to try and help those who have ended up without a roof over their head.”
