Share your expertise, develop your skills
A great way to help Broadway support our clients on their journey from street to home is to volunteer with us.
Not only will you be able to use your skills and expertise to help others but you will give yourself new challenges and gain new experiences.
'Volunteering at Broadway gave me lots of understanding of the services out there for the people in the community, it gave me valuable insight into working in the charity sector, and it gave me the practical skills I needed to start a career'
Former volunteer, now Project Worker with Broadway
What are volunteers involved in at Broadway?
Our volunteers are involved in a range of projects and services within Broadway.
Many volunteers help out during the open sesions at our Day Centre in Shepherds Bush
- Volunteers run and help run workshops for clients
- Volunteers help with translating for our clients for whom English is not a first language
- Volunteers help run our tea bar and engage with clients throughout the session
There are volunteer placements in our hostels and supported housing teams as well.
- Many of these services run workshops for clients and volunteers help with these
- Volunteers support our services by working on reception and assisting with admin tasks within the hostel/office
We also have volunteers in our office based teams such as Research and Client Involvement.
We welcome your ideas for how you could get involved. Do you have skills or interests that you would like to share that would benefit Broadway and our clients?
