No Second Night Out Volunteers
No Second Night Out Project
Each week about 60 people are seen rough sleeping for the first time in London.
No Second Night Out aims to prevent someone new to rough sleeping, and already in a dangerous situation, from spiralling downwards into a long term life on the streets. Sleeping rough is a concern to all communities and businesses, and there should be no need for it in the capital in the 21st century.
We are looking for dynamic, motivated and reliable volunteers who are passionate about ending rough sleeping and who are able to relate well with people from all walks of life. We ask for a minimum commitment of a four hour shift once a fortnight.
Assessment Hub Volunteers
Assessment Hub Volunteers will assist and support the assessment and reconnection team working with clients who have been newly referred to the No Second Night Out hubs. Shifts include a variety of tasks and are available at a time to suit each volunteer.

Housing Pathway Volunteers
Housing Pathway Team Volunteers will support the work of the Housing Pathway Advisors to secure accommodation for clients in the privately rented sector. This will involve helping clients search for properties online, complete forms and make email or phone call enquires about properties. Volunteers will also be asked to accompany clients to the staging post accommodation from either hub. Shifts are available from 9am – 7pm on weekdays and are based in Islington.

We are currently looking for new volunteers to support the StreetLink team. To express your interest in volunteering please fill out the volunteer application form and return it to firstname.lastname@example.org (unfortunately, we are not able to accept CVs, covering letters or emails in lieu of a completed application form).
Anyone across England who is concerned about a rough sleeper can tell us about them via the StreetLink website www.streetlink.org.uk, or by calling the 24/7 StreetLink team. Our volunteers support the StreetLink team by taking calls on the 24 hour StreetLink phoneline, processing rough sleeper referrals made via the StreetLink website, following up on voice and email messages and contacting members of the public to let them know what has happened as a result of their referral.
If you are passionate about helping rough sleepers and can commit to at least one shift per fortnight at our Shepherds Bush centre, over six months or more, we would love to hear from you. Please note the London Rough Sleeping Referral Line is answered by the StreetLink team.
