How your support helps Broadway to make a difference to people's lives:
- £2 pays for a pair of socks! This may seem like a basic thing but our Broadway Centre gives out approximately 4,000 pairs of socks a year, totaling around £8,000 in socks!
- £15 pays for a food starter pack for a new tenant moving into one of our hostels. The pack includes toiletries, basic food items (such as bread, sugar, oil, pasta, coffee and tea) washing powder and a wash bag.
- £35 pays for a Learning Specialist to assess 1 persons learning needs and put a personal learning plan into place to get them into employment or training.
- £62 pays for a home starter pack for someone who is moving out of a hostel and into their own accommodation. It includes items such as bedding, towels, and basis cooking and kitchen equipment.
- £75 pays for a Health Specialist to conduct a full physical health assessment for 1 person, including putting a health plan into place.
- £200 pays for 5 mock interviews to help people practice their interview skills and ready them for the job market.
- £750 pays for TB, Hepatitis, HIV and Aids awareness campaigns and health advice.
- £1,000 pays for us to teach a person how to read.
- £1,345 pays for a 6 months befriending relationship. These relationships are extremely important in helping people gain the confidence and self esteem to gain employment and become positive members of the community.
- £5,000 pays for a twelve week employment programme for 8 people.
