Homeless Link, the umbrella group for charities working with and for homeless people, have a campaign to end homelessness in Britain by 2022. Broadway has responded to their consultation and hope that responses such as ours will facilitate the development of this paper into a clear and concise plan of action with realistic and achievable objectives, in particular with immediate priorities for action.
Many of the issues covered in this consultation have been discussed for many years, therefore this paper needs to demonstrate how this consultation is different from work previously done and how it will actually, practically move things forward. Ending homelessness will require a joined up, powerful and sustained effort from central and local government and homelessness organisations.
