Broadway has responded to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) ‘No-one written off’: reforming welfare to reward responsibility’ green paper.
Welfare reform is of key significance to our clients. Most are reliant on benefits and often face complex barriers to accessing employment. During 2007/08, 608 individuals accessed Broadway’s Welfare Rights service. The team works to secure client's rightful entitlement to welfare benefits, reduce their debts, and promote financial literacy and personal rights. The service also represents clients at appeal tribunals.
To inform our response Broadway consulted with staff and clients across the organisation.
