Bullying and harassment in hostels and supported housing: research and recommendations
There is little research about bullying and harassment amongst residents in hostels and supported housing. However, it is generally acknowledged by both professionals and residents to be a significant issue.
For this research conducted by Broadway's research team, hostel and supported housing clients and staff discussed their experiences of bullying and harassment, and gave their ideas for how it could be tackled. These are presented in three sections, which look in turn at the issues and recommendations around (i) prevention, (ii) reporting and identification, and (iii) response.
