London's Hostels in the 21st Century (2004)

In January 2004, the homelessness sector Pan-London Providers Group commissioned a study of the role of hostels for single homeless people in the early 21st century. It had two elements: an empirical review of the changes in London's hostels since 1990, with particular attention to their functions, facilities, services and client profiles; and the production of a report which draws out the challenges facing hostel providers and possible solutions for the period 2005-14. The study started in February 2004 and lasted nine months.
