The impact of social and cultural activities on the health and well-being of homeless people
October 2005
Broadway was commissioned by Westminster PCT to conduct research about the impact of social and cultural activities for homeless people in Westminster. Forty-five homeless people were involved in five workshops across London and key professionals in the health and homelessness sector were interviewed for the project. The research found that activities have wide-ranging health benefits from social and cultural activities especially in the area of mental health. The report also outlines suggestions for increasing the positive health outcomes of activities.
