Market Lane Hostel provides safe, supported, temporary housing to single homeless men and women aged 18-60 who have alcohol and/or substance dependency issues.
We work primarily with rough sleepers and those at risk of homelessness. We are a “wet” hostel which means residents are allowed to drink alcohol in communal areas. We can accept dog owners.
Market Lane Hostel is staffed 24 hours a day. All residents have a key worker and receive an in-depth assessment and regular reviews of their needs. Residents are invited to participate in the running of the project, have their say at meetings and become involved with projects such as managing the garden, cooking, writing and producing the in-house newsletter.
Clients are helped to identify their own support needs and link into appropriate services. Floating support services then help to bridge the gap from living in a supported environment to living alone.
