Supported Housing
After leaving a hostel, people often need to live in accommodation where they are given further support to deal with long term problems. Supported housing is appropriate for this stage, providing a stepping stone between short-term hostel accommodation and independent living.
Where We Work
Broadway's supported housing accommodation is divided into 3 geographical areas:
- Supported Housing West (Hammersmith and Fulham, and Brent)
- Supported Housing South/ Central (Westminster and Lambeth)
- Supported Housing North (Camden, Hackney, Harringey and Islington)
Our Clients
We have the expertise to support single homeless clients with a complex range of support needs, for example:
- Substance misuse
- Mental health issues
- Physical ill health
- A history of offending
The Support We Provide
Support planning focuses on helping clients to achieve their individual goals and aspirations. Clients are encouraged to take part in meaningful daytime activities such as education, training, volunteering and employment.
Specialist Services
We provide specialist help in areas that require additional support. Specialist projects include:
- A scheme for people who are committed to abstinence (from drugs and alcohol)
- A scheme where 16-19 year old offenders are able to gain support to help them sustain independent living
