Referrals are made by CATS only. Visits - by Mental Health workers or substance misuse workers are fortnightly or as required. Criteria - must be a former rough sleeper. The degree of training is identified in Individual Service Agreement. Expected length of stay - between 6 and 18 months. All units are self contained and are in a converted house. Move on options - referrals to the Clearing House. Acton Housing Association are not involved in the day to day housing management of properties.

This following info applies to all five schemes. Referrals are made by CAT's where possible but at times it is requested that the Clearing House makes referrals.  Weekly, fortnightly and monthly visits are made according to the individuals needs.  Support covers all areas from education to mental health issues and preparation for move-on.  Criteria - clients must have a degree of independence and be willing to engage with the support service.  The training is aimed at preparing clients for independent living and deals with both practical and emotional issues.  Expected length of stay - usually 12-24 months.  Move on options - referrals to the Clearing House.  The units at the scheme are shared but each client will have their own independent tenancy agreement.  All units are in house conversions apart from Elm House which is a purpose built flat in a block. The rental charges are inclusive of council tax and utility bills.

This following info applies to all five schemes.  Referrals to these schemes are not solely made by CAT's.  There are no on site staff but regular support and contact is provided by SPEAR.  The support is variable according to the clients individual needs. 
Criteria - Clients must be verified ex rough sleepers.  The training is catered to the clients individual needs.  Expected length of stay is 1-2 years.  Move on options - Can find own accommodation, be re-housed via the Clearing House into RSI property or be nominated to Richmond Housing Partnership.  The units are shared 2 bed properties in a converted house.  Rent & Services charges TBC.

Referrals are made by CATS only.  There are two workers on site.  One full time Supported Housing Worker and one part time, (21 hours) Life Skills Worker.  Criteria - all clients must have a history of rough sleeping and be in need of life skills training.  All aspects of life skills training are addressed on an individual basis.  The expected length of stay is approximately 6-12 months.  Move on is provided via the Clearing House.  All units at the scheme are self contained and are in a converted house.  The rent is £73.03 per week which includes a service charge of £27.11 per week.

This scheme has three fully furnished self contained one bedroom flats.  The rent and service charge totals £75.66 per week and the support charge is paid by Supporting People.  There is good access to both bus and train services.  Move-on is via the Clearing House and is expected after 18-24 months.  The support provided includes managing a home, financial matters, health, access to service (including employment and education), access to local facilities, advice, alternative housing and review of support needs.  Please feel free to contact Elaine Lewis if you require and further information.
