- The number of clients accessing the Broadway Centre in 2004/05 was 2148. Of these clients 1644 were accessing the Centre for the first time.
- Homeless people are 40 times more likely not to be registered with a GP. During 2004/05, 39% of those who accessed Broadway’s Centre visited the on site GP or Nurse.
- Clients can access a range of alternative health therapies at the Centre such as shiatsu, ear acupuncture and Indian head massage. In 2004/05, 359 ear acupuncture treatments were given, which are very popular among clients with substance misuse issues and those who are on detoxification programmes, as it reduces cravings.
